Positive Thought of the Day # 2

Love vanquishes time. To lovers, a moment can be eternity; eternity can be the tick of a clock. --- Mary Parrish

Positive Thought of the Day

Love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image... otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.--- Anonymous

6 Foot Depiction of Jesus on Cross

Jesus stated “I’m the Bread of Life,” and it looks like artist Adam Sheldon has taken these words to heart. He has made a mural, but one made from tiles. Instead, Sheldon has used 153 pieces of burnt toast to form a depiction of Christ’s Crucifixion. The work is on display at the Anglican Church of St. Peter, Great Limber in the UK.

It Seems Like Lately There Has Been a Spread Of....

Narcissism (It seems like this is the cool thing to do/ be these days.)
1.
inordinate fascination with oneself; excessive self-love; vanity.

2.
Psychoanalysis. erotic gratification derived from admiration of one's own physical or mental attributes, being a normal condition at the infantile level of personality development.

Excessive love or admiration of oneself. Conceit

A psychological condition characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem.

Erotic pleasure derived from contemplation or admiration of one's own body or self, especially as a fixation on or a regression to an infantile stage of development.

The attribute of the human psyche charactized by admiration of oneself but within normal limits.
7 Sins of Narcissism (Hotchkiss):

Shamelessness - Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.

Magical thinking - Narcissists see themselves as perfect using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to dump shame onto others.

Arrogance - A narcissist who is feeling deflated may reinflate by diminishing, debasing, or degrading somebody else.

Envy - A narcissist may secure a sense of superiority in the face of another person's ability by using contempt to minimize the other person.

Entitlement - Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves uniquely special. Any failure to comply will be considered an attack on their superiority and the perpetrator is considered to be an "awkward" or "difficult" person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.

Exploitation - can take many forms but always involves the using of others without regards for their feelings or interests. Often the other is in a subservient position where resistance would be difficult or even impossible. Sometimes the subservience is not so much real as assumed.

Bad Boundaries - narcissists do not recognize that they have boundaries and that others are separate and are not extensions of themselves. Others either exist to meet their needs or may as well not exist at all. Those who provide narcissistic supply to the narcissist will be treated as if they are part of the narcissist and be expected to live up to those expectations. In the mind of a narcissist, there is no boundary between self and other.
My Thoughts:
...Personally, I am tired of hearing about all this me, me , me crap "I'm the flyest n*gga in the universe (lol), "I'm the baddest b*tch". I can't turn on the radio or TV without hearing about what someone has or who they think they are! DAMN! What you have/ look like doesn't make you who you are. I mean we all like to have money and nice things right??? But we have to draw the line at some point. I just thought that this was interesting...Im sure that we all know someone like this...
Some of you might say that I'm hating, but trust me I'm not. People are being brainwashed into thinking mone/ material things are the be all end all. " I got money to blow...", " Louis, Gucci, Prada...." " I'm gettin money"... We're all out here tryna keep up with the jones's, let's be real for a second...get your priorities together. It's definitely too real out here right now. Thank You --- B Wynn
